The Philodendron Monstera Deliciosa, or Split Leaf, is one of the most iconic of all tropical houseplants. They are beautiful, bold, and ever changing. Over time the leaves will grow larger (up to 2 feet wide!) and generate more splitting as they age. Starter monsteras will have small stalks, small heart shaped leaves and no splits, as they grow and mature the stalks will thicken, the leaves will get heftier and the iconic cuts in the leaves will begin to appear.
The Philodendron Monstera Deliciosa loves bright indirect light and prefers soil that is fairly moist at all times. Protip: Increase the watering frequency of these plants with increased light exposure.
