Plant Details

Low - Bright Indirect Light
This plant will thrive and grow the strongest in a bright indirect light, but is flexible and will tolerate most lighting scenarios, down to a low light.
High / Frequent Watering
Keep the soil of this plant moist at all times, allowing only the very top ½” - 1” of the surface soil to dry in between watering. Increase watering frequency with increased light.
Pet-friendly
This plant is safe for your pets!
More Info
The Bird’s Nest Fern is one of the more forgiving indoor fern varieties. Their extra thick fronds are slower to dry out than a traditional fern, making them a great beginner plant. They thrive in bright indirect to medium light and prefer soil that is moist with regular waters (though they can tolerate drying ⅓ of the way every now and then). Just be careful to water the soil only, and not the crown of the plant, to avoid rot. The Birds Nest Fern appreciates humidity, but doesn’t need it as much as other ferns. Pro tip: Higher light areas will lead to more “crinkled” leaves and less light will lead to flatter leaf textures.
